"God is in Control "
(Exodus 1-7)
The theme of Exodus is a nation that is born under the protection of God.
Same principle also to what is happening in the world and in our country today, there is also a principle that is being born in our lives today in the midst of the birth pains that world is facing.
The Exodus didn't start in the life of Israel as a chosen nation of God that is being rescued from Egypt that continues to their journey to the promise land. It started in the life of Joseph, from being betrayed by his brothers and sold as a slave to Egypt in the house of Potiphar , to being imprisoned until he became the Governor of Egypt - a man that is below one but above millions. Joseph was betrayed, is alone and is lonely. He is broken at some point but he remains faithful to the Lord , always thanking the goodness of God in his life. Truth being told, God used this experience of Joseph as a preparation for his family to go with him in Egypt.
What can we learn in Josep's life? The lesson here is Stewardship.
Stewardship is when we used the wisdom given to us by God in preparation of or in preparation for.
Same way, Joseph used the wisdom he acquired through his experiences (as a way of God to train him) and the gift being given to him (interpretation of dreams) , to became the instrument of God for the salvation of his family.
The life of Moses , as we go on to the Book of Exodus, also testifies that God cannot only protect His people, but also can turn tables. He can refute and reverse the plan of Satan and turn it into our advantage and favor. (Exodus 1-2)
Because of the enemy's plan to prevent the growth of the population of Hebrew people, Moses became the prince of Egypt through the wisdom given by God to his parent and sister.
Dear friends and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, God allows things to happen for a purpose. What is that purpose? Simply, to stop in what we are doing in order to give time in sharing the word of God.
This is the right time that we need for us to bring back our significance, for God called us for such a time like this - to be the salt and light to this world - just like Queen Esther, just like Joshua or Caleb or Moses.
Maybe this is the time. If God wants to do a historical move, God is looking for men of wisdom, men of responsibility, and men who have great relationship with God, that is willing and open to be use as a vessel, just like Moses. But before God can use us mightily, God is training us first. This is God's wisdom to bring salvation and good news to the hearts of people who still do not have the relationship with the Lord.
Truth being told, God is being good and faithful to us, for we are called for this purpose - to be the salt and light to this world.
In parallel, Satan's plan is also to tempt and later on to crucify Christ. However, the supposedly plan of the devil was being turned by God into our advantage for it leads to the salvation of many.
For without the shedding of blood, there is no remission.
A Learning through the Burning Bush
(Exodus 3)
When God called Moses, he experienced BROKENNESS.
Quarantine brought us frustrations ( lacked of job, halting of mobility, etc.) Frustration brings brokenness.
>When Moses fled from Egypt for his life and spent 40 years of his youth in the wilderness, he also experienced brokenness.
>In the land of Meribba, when Israel experienced brokenness brought by drought in the dessert, by the time Moses knock the rock twice, there welled up springs of living water.
Sometimes, when we think we are ready, that is when we are not.
It is only when we are being broken by God, that God can use us, for the Lord wants to use a broken vessel.
Men are powerless. Men are limited, but our God, the God of the Bible, is powerful and His power is unlimited.
>When Mary Magdalene broke the alabaster jar in the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ, that is only when the perfume's aroma covered the whole place, or the fragrance spread. It is only when we are broken and being humbled down in the feet of God that we can see His goodness in our lives.
>It is only when Jesus broke the bread that the 5000 and the 7000 were being fed. Same way, when the Word of God is being break into pieces ( the body of the Church ), that is only when the people who cannot eat the Word of God can be fed with spiritual food.
Great revival and blessing only starts in brokenness.
Great revival will happen first before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
In this Corona Virus Pandemic scare, God is in control, for He is using the situation in order for the whole world to hear and recognize the Lord out God, the Lord of the Bible.
Great reward awaits for those people who will be used by God in this upcoming revival.
As we open our lives and hearts to God, we are also becoming a testimony and a well-spring of life to many people who are scared and broken, and to the people who loses hope.
How?
God have Moses used his staff. Same way, God wants us to used the Word of God and our testimonies that is in us, not what is not in us. What we have now in the Church is the training and discipleship and God wants us to share that learning by becoming the learning itself -true and alive .
God wants use us mightily as an agent of change and players of the Great Revival that is yet to come soon.
Let your heart decides. If we will die today, die with meaning - to bring glory to Jesus. Everyone will die, but let us die with significance as we glorify and worship God. Let our lives be a living testimony of God's goodness. To live is Christ, and to die is gain.
All praises and glory belongs to our God.
God bless us all!
