Secrets of A Man’s Heart Foreword
Hi Readers,
For the next seven post, I want to journey us all in our
secret place with God.
Living for Jesus is not being weigh in terms of what people
see on the face value but what we really do on our secret place. When no one is
watching, are you still living a life that is honorable to the Lord? Or you are
taking off your Christian uniform and living otherwise?
Journey with me in this series “Secrets of a Man’s Heart”
and my prayer is for all of us to have a personal assessment on our life and on
our standing before God. I prayed that both you and me, will learn something,
will believe on God’s grace and love all the more, repent if we are being
convicted by the Holy Spirit and change our views in life as we allow God to
transform us into an authentic Sons and Daughters of God.
And I know that I couldn’t do this alone, so I prayed that
God will send His wisdom to help me know the condition of my heart as I start
this series. I also decided to invite a guest writer, my younger sister and a
true comrade in faith, Mariz Peñaflor, as she will gives us a hind
sight about secret sins. I prayed that the next seven post will cover different
issues of men’s heart – from our view of what secret sin is, unruly emotion,
unwarranted love, struggle for lust and craving for affection, selfishness and
pride, loneliness, unforgiveness and guilt and everything we can name of.
May this be a wake up call for all of us that we are just a
filthy rug before God, but out of love, he takes off our shame and die on the
cross for us. For God showed His great love to us that while we are still
sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8)
So what must be our response in front of God’s glory and
beyond all the reproof and correction by the Holy Spirit?
I must say that let us now study our hearts and it is for us
individually to see if we will respond affirmly to the calling of the Holy
Spirit for us.
In Grace While We Wait blog, Jessica Satterfield wrote about
her struggle in infertility: the hard truth about this is, that we are
all “wasting away.” Whether you are fertile or infertile, sick or healthy,
young or old, we all are outwardly dying.
Don’t get depressed just yet….because the next verse in that chapter
says this, “For this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal
weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not for the things that are
seen but to the things that are unseen. For the things that are seen are
transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” 2 Corinthians 4: 17-18
If this is true to her, this can also be true for me and
you, as long we are willing to admit our guilt and willing to be forgiven by
God as we now bring darkness of our lives into light and willing to live for
Him.
God Bless us all =)
