PRAYER

 

The background of my eyes are midst of the crowd

Wheels of the land chasing the time

Walking and glancing, days gone by

Moving and running, but I can’t grasp why.

 

Longing to a place, to be free I say

Like no matter, I can find no space

Crippled of the waves and of mass and weight

Insubstantial! What happened to you, I say?

 

In the room alone, to sorrow I succumb

Shadowed by mask glory and smile

Of faces and of masses that needs your hand

Yet you just cover the vanity beneath your eyes.

 

But what to say, my Lord?

In the heart is unfathomable weight

Neither I know but you

Not even a dream, but I need to do.

 

Crying alone in my room, whom to tell?

Lonelier and lonely still, and lonely even more

And in the heart buried deep a hole

Kneeling down at the altar, hoping to ease it down.
