A Lesson Taught by a Pot of Uncooked Rice

A Lesson Taught by a Pot of Uncooked Rice Image by https://pixabay.com/ 5 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; Proverbs 3:5 (NKJV)           This afternoon, as my mom goes out to a nearby market place to pick up the goods that she bought, she still left me one single command, “as the rice hits the boiling point, turn off the stove. Just wait for me by then and it’s now my call.”           Being concern as I am, in my mind, I will just let the pot of rice to boiled then I will just lessen the heat so that it will be cooked just right, because that’s how I learned it and I know I am right. So I thought.           As my mom approaches home, she asked me if I turn off the stove. I said that I just lessen the heat by the time it boils. Then she explains to me that if I did it that way, the rice will be overcooked because of too much water in it that is yet to be evaporated by the heat. I need to turn off first the stove and let t

The Almighty Blood

Without shedding of blood, there is no remission. -Hebrews 9:22

April 23, 2019 is the very first time that I donated blood in Philippine Blood Center as part of the Yearly Blood Letting Project of the company I am working with. Part of their tag line is this “Dugong Bigay, Dugtong Buhay: Be There for someone else. Give blood. Share life.” Now where does those bloods will possibly go? It is for the people who needs it to continue living. That is exactly what Christ did. He gave up His life for us. Lord Jesus Christ shed His Almighty Blood to bear the sins of many that we might appear to God without sin unto salvation (Hebrews 9:28). The blood and the Spirit is impossible to be separated for the Spirit of God will not come to a place that is dirty of Sin. The blood of the lamb that were put on the door post of Israelites during the Lord’s Passover in Egypt protect them from the wrath of the Spirit of God that strikes to death the Egyptians first born. That same Spirit will also be our seal as one of God’s people during the much awaiting second coming of the Lord Jesus Christ where the Church (the body of Christ) will be caught up and meet Him in the air.

Life is in the blood. Without the blood of Christ there is no remission of life in us. The Life here is the very Spirit of God that we lost after the fall.
When will be baptize by the Spirit of God? Simply, we must repent truthfully first and died to our self, first and we must ask God for His Spirit to come into our lives.

Lord Jesus, thank you for your Almighty Blood that is being shed on the Cross of Calvary in order to purge our hearts and cleanse us from all unrighteous. Lord, please covered us with your Almighty Blood every single day. Help us to trust in you and your plans always. Let us to multiply our lives also, which is yours in Christ Jesus, to other people. Amen!

“This is how we know what true love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers. (1 John 3:16) Laying our lives means sharing the very life of Christ. It is not only about preaching the word or quoting the scriptures, but becoming the living Word ourselves- the word who became flesh (John 1:14) like Jesus did. We could do that by doing little things into people surrounding our circle or getting involve for a higher cause. What are you willing to do to love God and other people?
